Dawson Trotman, the founder of The Navigators, saw Scripture memory as central to spiritual growth. During World War II, he wanted to help sailors memorize God's Word throughout the day — even without a Bible.
So he borrowed a sailor's uniform, measured the front pocket, and made Scripture memory cards that fit inside it perfectly. Those small cards traveled with men across the Pacific and helped shape lives for decades.
Today, we don't carry memory cards in our uniform pockets. But most of us carry something even better — a phone that's with us all day long.
